Most split (mini-split) air conditioners in Dubai homes come with an infrared remote and cannot follow a schedule or be controlled from your phone. A smart thermostat can change that when it is paired with a compatible adapter.
The adapter sits between the thermostat and the AC unit, so the thermostat can manage the air conditioner the way it would manage a central system.
